LISTING YOUR ITEMS
CHOOSE LISTING TYPE
You can select either Auction or Fixed Price/Product Listing types. Product/Fixed Price items do not have any bidding process attached to the listing. They still can have Accept Offer or Buy Out pricing attached.(see below)
The first step when listing your item for sale is category selection. Dependent on whether or not you are listing within a store you can select your category from all available categories or specific categories you have assigned to your store.
To select a category simply click on the [Select Category] button, the available parent/main categories will now be selectable. Continue selecting any sub categories as they appear to list your item in.
A second category selection option is available if you wish to list your item in an additional category. Also Free to add.
ITEM TITLE/SUB TITLE
Enter your item title, this will be used wherever your item is listed (home page, categories, store front etc.). It will also be used when users search for items.
An optional sub title can be setup with your item, the sub title will appear under the main item title on the category/store pages.
Enter your item description, a detailed item description can be created either directly using the WYSIWYG editor or by inserting existing content into the editor (HTML accepted). You can also directly link to pictures, but there are easier ways to import your pics below this section.
Multiple forms of media can be attached to any listing. Media forms supported include:-
Images (uploaded from your local computer/device or remotely hosted via entering the pic URL)
Video (only one allowed per listing). Do not place any Video with prohibited content.
Downloadable content (eBooks etc)
Embedded content (YouTube content etc.)
To upload images simply click on the [Select Images], you can then quickly and easily select images from your local computer/device (supported file types .gif, .jpg, .png).
If preferred you can use remotely hosted images through services such as PhotoBucket, to use remotely hosted images enter the URL of the hosted image in the field provided and complete by clicking on [Add].
To upload video content click on the [Select Media] button and select the file from your local computer/device.
Content from video sharing sites such as YouTube can also be used to accompany your listing. To embed YouTube content: <

If you are selling digital goods you can attach the content to your listing. On payment from your buyer the content will be made available for download automatically.
Select the currency your item is to be listed in (browsers can convert into their local currency).
ITEM QUANTITY/STOCK LEVEL PRODUCTS
Enter the amount of stock available for this item if there is more than one available
Enter the price for the item being listed.
START BID AUCTIONS
Enter the starting bid for your item (min 0.01)
BUY OUT PRICE AUCTIONS
Enter the buy out price for the auction being listed.
RESERVE PRICE AUCTIONS
Select whether or not you wish to use a reserve price on the auction, if selecting the option enter your reserve price (must exceed the start bid).
Choose whether or not you wish to accept offers for your auction. If choosing to accept offers you can opt to enter an offer range which controls the amount you will listen to offers. Leave blank if you have no preference.
Choose when your item should "Go Live", you can either select "Now" which will start the auction immediately, at the end of the listing process or you can choose a custom start time. If choosing to use a custom time the software will automatically activate your listing when the start time arrives.
Select the length of the Auction (3, 7 or 10 Days)
PRIVATE AUCTION AUCTIONS
Choose whether or not your auction is a private auction, if selecting the option the bid amount and bidders username will not be displayed.
(This section is built into the system, but it is disabled at this time)
Dependent on admin settings you can opt to highlight your listing on the site by selecting either "Home Page Featured", "Category Page Featured", "Highlighted Listing".
Home page featuring will list your item prominently on the home page over those listings not home page featured.
Category featured will display your item at the top of the relevant category page and above all other/non featured items.
Highlighted item will add a color border to your listing to help it stand other from others.
AUTO RE-LISTING SETTINGS
If your item is set to have a set duration rather than unlimited you can choose whether or not your listing should automatically re-list when it reaches it's schedule end time. If selecting to auto re-list you can enter the number of re-listings the item has and also whether or not the item should be re-listed if it sold during the previous listing.
The item location is should be filled in with your existing registration location details. (Country, State and Zip Code). If this information is not filled in, please go to Members Area - Selling - Seller Tools - Pre Filled Fields and enter your information. All Information entered in the Pre Filled Fields section will appear on each listing as you create it. (It can be edited while you are doing a listing if it needed)
By default the shipping details you setup within the Members Area - Selling - Seller Tools - Postage Setup. You can also edit the shipping instructions where applicable.
Shipping instructions can be entered in the Members Area - Selling - Seller Tools - Pre Filled Fields. You can also edit the shipping instructions where applicable.
Returns instructions can be entered in the Members Area - Selling - Seller Tools - Pre Filled Fields. You can also edit the returns instructions where applicable.
Select which forms of payment you will accept for this product. You can choose from any options enabled including direct payment and offline payment. Only the payment options that you select will be displayed on the item listing. You must go to your Members Area - My Account - Account Settings and enter the required information for any 3rd party payment method that you will accept. For example..if you accept Paypal, you will need to enter your Paypal address. (no password required, as we have no control of your money or account).
LISTING REVIEW & FINAL STEP
The final stage of the listing process enables you to review everything setup, if you notice anything that needs altering you can navigate back through the process using the "Previous Step" button. If happy with everything you can use the "List Now" button to list the item or if preferred "Save as Draft" for future editing/listing.
INTEGRATED PAYMENT GATEWAYS
Each seller can choose to accept payment from buyers through any of the below payment gateways.
Offline payment options can be selected by sellers from those setup in the Members Area - Selling - Seller Tools - Pre Filled Fields section. Offline payment options differ from the integrated 3rd party payment options as they are handled directly between buyers and sellers. Example the offline payment options Money Orders, Business Checks and Personal Checks. If you accept these types of payment, It is important to remember that Checks and Money Orders will take a few days to clear your Bank. You may want to delay your shipping to insure the payment clears before you will ship the item. You can show this information to the prospective buyer in your "Shipping Instructions" on your lisitng.
INTEGRATED SHIPPING PROVIDERS
Each integrated shipping carrier can be used to get live shipping rates and services. During the payment/checkout process buyers can choose their preferred method of shipping from the list of shipping carriers and services selected by the seller. The seller knows what types of shipping are best to insure the safe arrival of the item to the buyer.
OFFER FREE POSTAGE
Sellers can choose to offer free shipping on all items. Free Shipping can be designated as Domestic only or Worldwide.
ITEM BASED SHIPPING
Item based shipping enables sellers to set an a specific shipping price for each individual item (flat rates will take into account locality shipping settings)
FLAT RATE SHIPPING
Flat rate shipping can be used if you want to offer a reduction for ordering more than one item. For example the first item in the basket is charged $5.00 for shipping, the second, third, fourth items etc. are invoiced at $1.00 each.
DOMESTIC & INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING SETTINGS
Sellers have full control over their domestic and international shipping needs. Sellers can choose only to ship Domestically, they can ship Worldwide, or they can choose to select only certain countries to ship to, by using the Custom shipping selection.
Each user who wishes to have a Store, can have a Store in our Stores Section. The features of each individual store front include:-
a. SEO Friendly store URL. Example ..... http://www.vangoe.com/store/store-name
b. Custom store logo/branding. Each store owner can upload their own site logo/branding to be used on their store front.
c. Custom content pages (About Us, Shipping Policy etc.) Custom content for each automatically created page can be inserted within the members area (please see below under store creation & management for more information)
d. Category display (including custom categories). Each store has full control over the categories used within their store front, this includes the selection of existing categories or custom categories the store owner has created.
e. Item filtering. Store browsers can filter listed items by various filtering options including custom price range.
f. Auction/Product filtering. Store browsers can choose to display only products or auctions within a store (where applicable).
The main store directory lists all active stores on the site.
STORE CREATION & MANAGEMENT
Stores are created within the members area. Sellers looking to create a store front for their items can setup and customize their store through the following settings and options.
Users can choose which store subscription best meets their requirements. The subscription is $9.95 per month.
Store name, this will form the URL (your direct link to your store). You can use it for your advertising or to direct anyone to your store page on the Vangoe site. For Example here is a store link that was created.

Store description, the custom store subscription will be used on the main store front and typically includes an introduction to the users store, products offered and other general information.
Store logo, the store owner can upload their existing logo for use with their store front, the logo will be used in the store directory as well as within the store front itself.
Meta description, the store owner can enter custom meta tags for their store to aid with search engine ranking.
Category selection, each store is listed by category within the store directory. The store owner can select which category best fits their store front be it all or a specific category(s)
Store categories, each store can be customized by selecting the categories found within the store front. For example if your are a book seller you would only want to select the Book categories, if you sell items that do not fall into any of the existing categories you can create your own custom category.
Custom store pages, each store owner can enter custom content for store pages covering "About Us", "Shipping Information", "Company Policies".
As a Buyer or Seller you can leave suitable feedback for your purchase from within the members area. Once within the members area you can filter your feedback by pending feedback and previously left feedback. To leave feedback comments/ratings:
Log in to your account and proceed to Members Area > Feedback > Pending Feedback
Select the item(s) you wish to leave feedback for, once you have selected the item(s) click on the "Leave Feedback" button. Select your general rating from the three options available (Positive, Neutral, Negative) and secondly enter any comments you have. Once submitted the feedback will be automatically update the sellers overall feedback rating, any comments left will be visible on the sellers feedback profile page.
The messaging system enables buyers and sellers to communicate with each other on-site. Each won/sold product or auction has a unique message board automatically created. The messaging system is accessed within the Members Area > Messages.
If you are a seller and/or store owner you can create custom vouchers/coupons to be redeemed against your listed auctions or products. It is like a virtual Gift Card. To create a voucher:-
Log in to the Members Area > Selling > Seller Tools > Seller Vouchers
Click on the "Create Voucher" button
Enter a name for your voucher e.g. "September Special"
Create your voucher code, this can be anything you prefer e.g. "SEPT-50%", any preferred code can be used.
Enter the reduction amount, you can enter the amount as a percentage or set amount
Select an expiration date on the voucher.
Select the number of times the voucher can be redeemed (left empty if the voucher simply expires based on the expiration date)
Select any open auctions/products the voucher applies to or enable it for all your open auctions/products.
Send your Voucher/Coupon to your customer list, favorite FB page, Twitter Feed or where ever you like.
If there is a particular auction you are interested in but not yet ready to place a bid you can add the auction to your watched item list. Any bids placed on the item will trigger an email to your registered email address to keep you updated. To add an auction to your watch list:-
On the auction details page click on the "Watch Item" button
The item is now added to your list of watched items, you can view/manage all watched items from within the Members Area > Buying > Buyer Tools > Watched Items.
If there a particular store which lists products you are interested in you can add the store to your list of favorite stores, each time a new item is listed within the store you will receive email notification. To add a new favorite store:-
Visit the store front you wish to add
Click on the "Add to Favorites" button
You can now view your Favorite stores from the top of any page by clicking the "Favorite Stores" link.
If you are a regular seller you can shorten the listing process by setting up your pre-filled fields information. These fields are the common fields used during the listing process, if you tend to sell the same type of item this can assist by speeding up the listing process. Any prefilled fields setup within Members Area > Selling > Seller Tools > Prefilled Fields will be automatically completed when you list a new auction or product for sale. Prefilled fields cover:-
Auto Re-List settings
If you are a seller you can view and search through your fees and invoices. To access to your billing history and view/print invoices navigate to Members Area > My Account > Account History. From here you can filter all records by credits, debits, receipts etc.
